On the occasion of the 26th edition of the Salon international des musées, des lieux de culture et de tourisme (SITEM), which took place from June 28 to 30, 2022 at the Carrousel du Louvre, Art Explora Foundation joined forces with SITEM to offer a conference entitled:  

How can we renew methods of public access, participation and involvement? A cross-section of innovative international practices

The Foundation invited the winners of the European Art Explora Prize - Académie des beaux-arts 2021 to discuss the practices of their respective institutions and the projects they have undertaken to renew the dialogue between the arts and the public.

Jemima Montagu, Director ofArt Explora in the United Kingdom, moderated the discussion, which brought together :  

  • Helen Charman, Director of Education, National Programs and the Young V&A at the Victora and Albert Museum in London (UK)  
  • Claire Leblanc, Director, Musée d'Ixelles, Brussels (Belgium)  
  • Stephanie Masuy, Head of Public Services, Musée d'Ixelles, Brussels (Belgium)  
  • Loraine Vilain, Mediation Project Manager, Musée du Louvre-Lens, Lens (France)
