Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille

"Musée emportable": a digital, offbeat experience of discovering the museum in the company of the drawings of Zep, famous French comic strip author.

The project

Le Musée emportable was born of a meeting with the Blouses Roses association, which works with hospitalized children and people in care to bring joy to a daily life of loneliness and difficulty. Twenty or so episodes will enable visitors to discover a history of humorous art, drawn by comic book artist Zep, through the intermediary of a virtual reality headset or a more conventional projection system, depending on the venue and audience concerned. Human mediation and hands-on workshops will be offered to complement this virtual tour, wherever possible.

Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille

The Palais des beaux-arts de Lille is a museum with a palatial 19th-century architecture and an encyclopedic collection spanning Flanders (Rubens, Van Dyck), Spain (Goya), Italy (Donatello, Raphaël) and France (Delacroix, Monet, Rodin). Highly committed to winning over new audiences, in 2014 he launched the Open Museum programme : an invitation to an unexpected and famous artistic personality to establish a new dialogue with the museum's works and spaces.

National Museum of Military History

"Art M Back": a virtual reality app that combines sightseeing and creativity.

The project

Art M Back is a pilot project that combines a traditional museum visit with the visitor's own creativity. Equipped with a virtual reality headset, visitors wander through the corridors of a virtual space where the museum's collections are on display. The visitor chooses a work or object, which is presented in detail. After learning all about it, he or she unlocks a "toolbox" containing all the materials that make up the work or object, and is invited to virtually re-create a work. This project is said to be one of the first virtual reality offerings in a Bulgarian museum.

National Museum of Military History
