Frequently Asked Questions
How much time do I have to give each year to become an Art Explora volunteer?
There are as many volunteers as there are levels of commitment, and no obligation. Depending on their schedules and availability, our volunteers can devote as much or as little time as they wish to the Foundation. And this time can vary from year to year!
Are there any prerequisites for taking on assignments as an Art Explora volunteer?
There are no prerequisites for becoming a volunteer. All you need is the desire to share, pass on and engage in dialogue!
Is it possible to carry out a mission as an observer before taking the plunge?
It is entirely possible, and even recommended, to come as an observer to discover the programmes.
Can I register for more than one programme?
You can sign up for multiple programmes!
Do I need to have any prior artistic skills or knowledge?
No prior experience is needed! You will receive training from us, but a must, is a passion for bringing arts and culture to your local community whether it be in libraries, family hubs, care homes or hospitals.
Where are the community programmes based in the UK?
Our community programme is currently held in settings across London, zones 1-3. They are all accessible via public transport, and all local travel expenses reimbursed. We recommend you volunteer at a location near where you live, study or work, so it becomes part of your routine!
