Applications for the Montmartre residency programme are now open!

‍Applications for the 2026/2027 Art Explora x Cité internationale des arts artist residency sessions are now open!

Since its first edition in 2021, this residency programme has welcomed over 80 residents of all disciplines and nationalities to the Cité internationale des arts - Montmartre site in the heart of Paris.  

Open to applicants of any age, it is aimed at artists withat least five years' professional experience. Projects must explore major contemporary issues: social, environmental, technological or related to the arts and sciences.  

Starting this year, two artists will be able to benefit from the new programme launched with Lafayette Anticipations, including enhanced support, a dedicated production budget and access to the foundation's studios.‍

Artists from all over the world are invited to submit their applications for the SOLO (for artists) or COLLECTIVE (for artist collectives) programme on our application platform until October 31 at 11:59 pm (Paris time, GMT +2).

The Calendar:

- Application deadline: September 15, 2025


- Application deadline:October 31, 2025 at 11:59 pm (Paris time, GMT +2)

- Announcement of winners: January 2026 for residencies from March to August 2025; May 2026 for residencies from September 2025 to February 2026.
