“Water Lilies” was created in 2025 for the 4th year contemporary dance students at the Elementary School for Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance, at the Elementary School VeĆŸica, Rijeka. Inspired by Monet’s “Water Lilies” and set to Claire de Lune by Debussy, the work is a meditation on peace, interdependence and the flow of water. The dancers investigated aspects of flow, falling, stability and instability in partnership.

The launeddas is a reed wind instrument. Despite its resemblance to other wind instruments, this instrument is unique. It originated in Sardinia and perfectly embodies the identity of this island. It is indeed a very ancient instrument, as evidenced by a small bronze statue depicting a player dating from the second millennium BC.
