A PROJECT SUPPORTED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION

‍ ‍The Art explora Foundation has won the 2023 "Cooperation" call of the Culture strand of the Creative Europe program, which supports projects promoting the creation and circulation of works and artists in Europe today, and innovative approaches in the cultural and creative sectors . ‍

The support amounts to €1 million and, in partnership with a number of European players, will make it possible to experiment with new practices, gain collective skills and develop methods and models that can then be used by each of the participating organisations and shared with others. This support will also help to consolidate the approach to the issues of audience development, social inclusion, sustainability and digital technology.

The Art Explora Foundation has brought together 6 partners to work on the project:

  • Spazju Kreattiv in Malta for the first leg of the Festival
  • Culturgest in Portugal
  • Anima Pictures in Albania
  • Kamel Lazaar Foundation in Tunisia
  • The Island Club in Cyprus
  • KEA European Affairs in Belgium

Thanks to Creative Europe’s contribution, the project will develop cross-residencies in the Mediterranean for artists and scientists, a programme of audience engagement at each stage and the Festival logbook, a platform for contributory digital dialogue.

An evaluation of all the project proposals will be carried out throughout the duration of the project, enabling us to constantly improve and enrich our proposals.
