This inclusive platform invites communities to actively participate in these conversations, fostering exploration, appreciation, and the acquisition of valuable insights into the pivotal role of the arts within society.

CAN YOU SEA? Water as a political entity – The land/sea dialectic omnipresent in maritime anthropology. • Colonialism, independence, and development and conservation policies have all disrupted communities inhabiting the maritime space. • The concept of the sea as a human space, marked by cultural diversity, has encountered tenacious resistance. • Access to, ownership of, and protection of the ocean require shifting the dominant Western model of ideas about the sea and opening a middle way – a space for scientific, political, social, and creative reflection.
