While docked, immersive experiences extend your visit to the museum ship: an audio tour, virtual reality, an image tunnel, and a documentary let you explore the marine world in a whole new way, with activities that vary by port of call.

GRAND LARGE, SOUND JOURNEYS THROUGH THE OCEAN

Spend twelve minutes immersed in a soundscape, lying on a deck chair set as close to the sea as possible. First, you hear the ocean coastline—waves, wind, and the cries of seagulls—then, without a break, the transition underwater: currents, the echoes of the seabed, the crackling of coral reefs, and the songs and clicks of cetaceans. This creation by the Oreille Indiscrète collective, in binaural Ambisonic sound, blends field recordings with reconstructed sounds.

VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCES

Put on your headset and journey from historical reenactment to scientific documentary through three experiences:

Created in collaboration with Ubisoft using reenactments from the Assassin’s Creed series, the “Mediterranean Wonders” experience takes you on a journey to the Lighthouse of Alexandria and the Acropolis of Athens at their peak, as well as to the Venice Carnival during the Renaissance.

IMMERSIVE EXHIBITIONS

Seventeen meters long, entirely lined with screens and equipped with spatial audio, the tunnel envelops you from all sides, with no front screen or imposed viewpoint. Immerse yourself in the underwater volcanic landscapes of the Azores, the Aeolian Islands, and the Barents Sea with *Psychosphere* by Jakob Kudsk Steensen, the result of six years of collaboration with divers, biologists, and researchers. Or journey through ancient Mediterranean civilizations with *Présentes*, an immersive exhibition created in collaboration with the Louvre, dedicated to female figures—goddesses, priestesses, muses, and sovereigns—from Mesopotamia to Roman Egypt.

DOCUMENTARY: THE ART OF THE OCEAN

Trace the history of art with *The Art of the Ocean*, from the earliest explorers to the modern era, directed by Amaury Chardeau and produced by Upian. From accounts told by early navigators to images captured today by deep-sea robots, the film explores how the ocean has become, in turn, a realm of fantasy, a subject of scientific inquiry, and the inspiration for works of art.
