A fun discovery workshop exploring Le Havre's Industrial-Port Area for the whole family, ages 7 to 77. Facing a huge satellite photo, place jobs, ships, goods, and infrastructure in the right spots, guided by our facilitators.

Do you really know the area stretching out before your eyes? Standing in front of a huge satellite image of Le Havre’s Industrial and Port Zone, set off to explore a space that is far vaster and more vibrant than it first appears. Several themes are on offer: trades, ships, goods and infrastructure. Try to place the correct elements in the right places, explaining your choices as you go. Clues, anecdotes and images will guide your investigation, step by step, with our guides.
As the game progresses, young and old alike realise that this area is not just about the port: it is a veritable ecosystem that combines industry, logistics, energy and the environment, and which provides a livelihood for thousands of people in jobs as varied as they are surprising.
“This is the industrial-port area” sharpens observational skills and analytical thinking, encourages participants to justify their choices, and introduces them to the rich variety of port and industrial jobs in the area, as well as the economic and environmental issues at stake. It’s a wonderful opportunity to take a fresh look at an area we think we know, without even realising it.
Suitable for children aged 7 and over, this workshop turns map exploration into a giant treasure hunt: driven by curiosity, with the joy of discovery as the reward, to be enjoyed as a family.
