How can we represent the migrations of bacteria, invisible to the naked eye? What are the writings of the living? This conversation will explore ecological issues through the study of bacterial worlds and their political, historical, cultural and mythological stories.

Lara Tabet's multidisciplinary practice opens up perspectives on how bacteria, their entanglements, mutations and contaminations bring together distant pasts and futures, as well as distant geographies from one end of the Mediterranean Sea to the other. The encounter will take as its starting point the artist's multidisciplinary practice and the works she exhibited on the Art Explora boat as part of the Undertow exhibition, during its stopover in Marseille, and Correspondant Species , a project she continued to develop during her residency at the Camargo Foundation in spring 2024.
