
Carte Blanche Méditerranéen
On the upper deck of the boat, every day between 5pm and 7pm, the festival’s curators and a collaboration with the national pavilions of the Biennale offer concerts, performances, screenings, talks, panels... on a ‘carte blanche’ principle, echoing their unique way of understanding the major themes of the Festival throughout its itinerancy, embodying the purpose of the project through cultural cooperation on a regional scale.

Theme: The artistic scene in Algiers.
Conversation between Khaled Bouzidi (director of Rhizome and curator, in charge of the Algerian stopover of the festival) and Zineb Sedira (artist).
6:00pm Conversation
Theme: Di queste luci si servira la notte: a constellation of fragments, film and poetry.
Conversation between Arnisa Zeqo (co-founder of Rongwrong, director of Kunsthuis SYB in Beetserzwaag and curator, in charge of the Albanian stopover of the festival) and Adrian Paci (artist).

Speaker : Nadine Atallah
Nadine Atallah (member of Madrassa Collective and independent curator, in charge of the Egyptian stopover of the festival), about Inji Efflatoun (1924-1989), Egyptian painter, marxist, feminist and pacifist activist, jailed during Nasser’s era. She is included in the Biennale exhibition Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere.
