This performance was born from a grandmother’s wish to explain her work as a choreographer to her grandchildren, who became co-creators of something that did not yet exist. With musicians, performers and a set designer, Chão de Meninos emerged: a small land in Sintra where snow laughs, bears play and garden-carpets bloom. A dance and music piece celebrating the strength, laughter and delicacy of children. Production: Lavrar o Mar.

This performance began with the desire of a grandmother who wanted to tell her grandchildren what her work is: her work as a choreographer. They came and became co-creators of an idea that was not there before. It did not exist. Everyone, musicians, performers, a scenographer, and these two children came together to create this CHÃO DE MENINOS, which is the name of a small place in the municipality of Sintra. It speaks of laughing snow, of a small fable that drowns in whiteness, of bears at play, and of a carpet-garden born from a shipwreck.

The creator of difficult things, a brave and energetic child, pushed the performance into three new seasons: animals, snow, and flowers; and the music flooded everything. When everything was ready, many more children arrived and took over the floor, invading it, moving it, and occupying it. With this dance and music performance, we wanted the strength, laughter, and delicacy of children to always become a glorious manifestation of becoming. Production: Lavrar o Mar.<br>
