DJ set by MAGMAXPLORA from the Magma Collective

Invited by the Art Explora Foundation, the Collectif Magma presents magmaXplora, an immersive performance combining a DJ set and VJing inspired by the marine imagination.

Conceived as a sensory journey, magmaXplora explores the depths of the water as realms of fiction, memory, and metamorphosis. Through soundscapes, organic rhythms, and shifting visual landscapes, the collective crafts a journey through the abyss, invisible currents, bioluminescence, submerged ruins, and underwater eruptions—where molten rock meets water to give rise to pillow lavas, rock formations born from the collision of fire and liquid.

At the intersection of celebration, installation, and ritual, this work transforms the space into a zone of poetic turbulence: a shifting fissure from which images, sounds, and materials gush forth, like an ever-changing underwater volcanic flow.

Inspired by marine ecosystems, deep-sea volcanoes, and the dynamics of their interdependence, magmaXplora invites us on a collective journey into a fluid, incandescent, and ever-changing world, where the boundaries between the living, the mineral, and the imaginary dissolve.

Magma Collective

The Magma collective brings together about ten women from Le Havre who share a passionate love for electronic music and a desire to push boundaries. It is also a group dedicated to sharing and learning about musical and artistic creation in all its forms: DJing, production, VJing, stage design, graphic design, and event planning are its key elements. Strength lies in unity, and the diversity of each member’s styles sparks curiosity and leads to surprising collaborations, always with the goal of experimenting and exploring creativity. Magma is a collective that mirrors a world in constant motion. Like magma, it is constantly transforming.
