Performance nasa4nasa – 'Promises' (invited by Martha Kirszenbaum)
Reimagined for the Art Explora Festival, the performance Promises is an improvisation score in which two bodies attempt to choreograph a field of listening to sensitive composition.
Rethought for the Art Explora Festival, the performance Promises is an improvisational score in which two bodies attempt to choreograph a listening field of sensitive composition. The nasa4nasa duo explore the limits of temporality, creating a unity in which failure is expected. Promises investigates the search for intimacy in relation to time, an aspiration to slow down the end. It is also a work in which two dancing bodies explore symmetrical traces as a mode of proximity. nasa4nasa explores the desire to be synchronized and desynchronized, together but apart, as a constantly ephemeral promise.
This work is meant to be seen as a leaning entity, marked by both disjunction and continuity, synchronicity and difference. The duets take place in a dance studio that acts as a stage, seeing the work as a progression, a scene among different scenes, a liminal space of connection.
