DJ Set - Fateleku ki ma doon / Remembering Who I Am, Ibaaku
The proposed DJ set is not conceived merely as musical entertainment, but as a sonic extension of the event - a performance piece that engages in a dialogue with the featured artworks and artists, as well as the space hosting them.

At its core lies the concept of a hypnotic journey bridging memory and the future: Ibaaku weaves together traditional Senegalese sounds such as sabar percussion, vocals, field recordings, and instruments from Diola and Serer traditions, with electronic textures and contemporary rhythmic structures (house, techno, afro-electro, amapiano). The result is a sonic continuum that evokes both the ancestral and the speculative, as a form of collective trance that interrogates time, identity, and territory.
Ibaaku
Ibaaku define himself as a sonic world’s builder, he's exploring the potentials of audio through collaborative and interdisciplinary work, touching fields such as fashion and performance arts. Starting at the beginning of the 2000s on the Senegalese hip-hop scene as a rapper, producer and singer, he carried out several musical projects and joined multiple collectives of the Dakar alternative scene (Lz3, Iscience ,Les Petites Pierres).
He has been a rising figure in electronic and experimental music in the African continent since 2016 as well as a founding member of “Kenu: Lab'Oratoire des Imaginaires” (2020), an art space that explores the imaginaries, social practices and traditional knowledge of Ouakam society. Ibaaku also recently co-founded with Alibeta the first Senegalese music label dedicated to contemporary and electronic music: Miziku Tey Records.
