Issam Harisse known by his stage name Issam, is a Moroccan rapper, songwriter and trap artist. Born and raised in Derb Sultan, Casablanca, he made a name for himself in 2018 with his song and video, "Trap Beldi". A track that helped him gain popularity by becoming the first Moroccan trap song to reach over 10 million views on YouTube. The distinctive feature of Issam's music is the mix of autotuned Darija vocals and TR 808-generated classical rhythms with elements of traditional North African music and heavily influenced by raï. In May 2019, Issam signed a contract with Universal Music France, in what has been billed as the biggest deal ever for North African hip-hop. His debut album "Crystal" was released on May 6, 2021.
