“Kai” is an immersive performative work in which sound and image intertwine like tides in constant motion. The drawings created live by JAS and the sound composition by Pedro Moura form a living symbiosis, where each gesture and vibration resonates with one another.
In this sensory dialogue, the surface becomes a score. The word “Kai”, associated with meanings such as “sea” or “ocean” across different cultures, evokes states of fluidity, turbulence and contemplation.
The performance invites the audience into a space where drawing and listening merge, revealing a shared language between visual and sonic worlds — a moment where seeing becomes hearing, and hearing becomes drawing.
