The possibility of a forest
Screening of the documentary “Posibilidad de un bosque” (Possibility of a Forest) (2023) by Daniel Natoli, 53 min. On a vast 177,000 m² plot in the heart of Malaga, the desires of the various stakeholders in the city are projected. On one side, the municipality and real estate developers want to build four skyscrapers of around forty stories each. On the other, a neighborhood platform is fighting for a large urban forest. Who has the right to decide on public space? What are the limits of representative democracy? Participants: Kike España (architect), Elo Vega (artist), and curator Álex Martín Rod.
