A hybrid creation of Anti-Fashion trends, displacing ball culture (second-hand clothing) into a showbiz universe.
The idea came to life in 2012 through an Anti-Fashion fashion show, presenting a universe that shifts image to societal values and proposes a re-evaluation of the notion of "ideal beauty".
7TTA is one of our most fashionable trends.
The offbeat fashion show presents the collection in "clothing characters" adapted to stage situations, recalling characters from our collective memory: schoolteacher, primary school pupil, soccer player...L'7TTA's fantastic universe seeks to provoke feelings of nostalgia and pride with humor, while positioning itself radically by the standards of current trends.
In the beginning, L'7TTA was born from the collaboration of artists from different disciplines, working together to imagine a magical creation, a critical and mysterious universe designed by Mohamed Amine Ait Hammou.
Mohamed Amine Ait Hammou is an artist born in Casablanca to an Amazigh father and a mother of Algerian origin. He grew up between Casablanca, Beni Mellal and Bouznika before moving to Rabat to study the plastic arts. In his work, he attempts to reconstruct his imagination, and share his questions about modern Moroccan society. Always on the lookout for forms that can speak to his society, he embarks on a variety of projects between theater, cinema and image to represent the identity of a society in transition.
Zakaria Alilech
Zakaria Alilech is a translator and cultural programmer based in Tangier. He is the cultural coordinator of the American Language Center, as well as co-founder of the multidisciplinary contemporary art festival Youmein. He also works as a translator and adapter of artistic texts, notably for film, theater and contemporary art. His literary and artistic translations can be found in catalogs and programs in French, Arabic, English and Spanish at art institutions in Morocco and abroad.
