Performance by LH pas la Plume
Founded in 2017, the association promotes contemporary poetry rooted in everyday life and brings together some twenty poets and slam poets. For this event, it is presenting a selection of texts recited in slam style, offering a poetic perspective on the city of Le Havre.

The practice of reciting poetry on stage follows a few basic principles: a maximum of three minutes to present a text you have written yourself in front of an audience, without any props (such as music, accessories, or costumes).
Today, with about 50 members, the association—which is part of the Ligue Slam de France—will compete this year in the French Cup final, held annually in Tours in June. Some members also take part in tournaments throughout the French-speaking world (Quebec, Switzerland, Belgium, etc.). In Le Havre, the association hosts open mic nights on the third Friday of every month at Hangar Zéro. It also collaborates with the ESAT Porte Océane and La Lézarde, where writing workshops are held for people with disabilities, leading up to an end-of-year performance.
Founded in 2024 by six slam poetry enthusiasts, the LH pas la Plume association aims to make this art of public speaking accessible to as many people as possible.
