Address

Marseille Wharf, Eure Basin

A DJ set by Meech De France, conceived as a musical journey through rhythm, movement, and collective energy.

Drawing inspiration from house music, hip-hop, jazz, funk, soul, Afrobeat, broken beat, and electronic music, Meech De France creates a vibrant dialogue between musical traditions and contemporary dancefloor culture. His selections move freely between deep grooves, percussive rhythms, vocal textures, and powerful basslines.

More than just a series of tracks, *Solar System* is an invitation to connect. The set celebrates the club as a space for freedom, expression, and shared memories. Each transition is designed to build momentum and leave room for improvisation, surprise, and the energy of the audience.

A dancer, choreographer, musician, and DJ, Meech De France approaches the turntables through movement. His sets are intimately linked to movement: they invite listeners to feel the rhythm, respond to it physically, and take part in a collective experience.

For Art Explora, he offers an open and inclusive musical experience where different generations, cultures, and dance styles come together through the universal language of rhythm.

Meech of France

Michel Onomo, known as “Meech’,” is a dancer, competitor, choreographer, DJ, and sound designer. He discovered dance at a very young age and developed a versatile style influenced by street dance. Today, he is recognized as one of the leading figures on the international freestyle hip-hop and house dance scene.

His technical skill, musicality, and originality have earned him two victories at Brian Green’s House Dance Conference in New York, as well as four world titles at Juste Debout. His career has been shaped by his time with the groups Sanrancune—alongside Joseph N’Guessan and Thony Maskot—and Quality Street, as well as his deep immersion in traditional African dance.

As a dancer and performer, he has collaborated on artistic projects with Franck II Louise, Rabah Mahfoufi, Iffra Dia, and Bintou Dembélé. He has also expanded his artistic repertoire by studying tap dance and body percussion with Leela Petronio and the Hip Tap Project troupe.

Drawing on his extensive hands-on experience, Meech’ earned the DEJEPS ASEC PTR certification as well as a degree in choreography. Since 2007, he has been developing his own creative projects as a choreographer and sound designer, with a strong focus on teaching. In 2013, he created Ghôst Flow, a dance movement and method that explores memory, freedom, rhythm, and transformation through the body.

Today, he is the choreographer for Jacques Offenbach’s opera-ballet-museum *La Belle Hélène *.

Overview of the Artist's Work

Meech De France’s work is driven by the relationship between sound and movement. Whether on stage, in a dance circle, during a workshop, or behind the turntables, he creates spaces where improvisation becomes a tool for dialogue, transmission, and transformation.

His artistic world emerges from the intersection of hip-hop culture, house dance, Afro-diasporic rhythms, electronic music, and contemporary creation. He connects movement to musical memory, performance to listening, and individual energy to a collective experience.

Through Ghôst Flow, a movement he founded in 2013, Meech De France invites everyone to reconnect with their own movement, musicality, and creative potential. His work champions a dance that is vibrant, free, and accessible, in which the body becomes a space for storytelling, sharing, and transcendence.
