All audiences

Land Inventory is an immersive sound installation created in collaboration with artist Youmna Saba. Through a curated inventory list and field recordings from Lebanese soils, the project explores what remains, what has changed, and what might be lost of Lebanon’s natural and cultural heritage – its flora, fauna, landmarks, and homes.

The installation was showcased at Sole DXB in Dubai, where the main stage diffused these field recordings, offering an auditory exploration of Lebanon’s diverse landscapes. This sensory experience allowed attendees to hear the essence of the country’s environmental and cultural landscape.

Land Inventory reflects the power of sound art in preserving and communicating the nuances of Lebanon's heritage. It encourages reflection on the fragility of natural and cultural treasures, making them audible for a broader audience.

Nathalie Harb

Nathalie Harb is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based between Paris and Beirut, who is interested in redefining public space from the point of view of city dwellers living in conflict-affected cities on a daily basis. Her work focuses on well-being and spatial justice. She questions notions of home, shelter and autonomy through various forms of expression, including public interventions, installations and scenographies, in urban and rural contexts in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Adopting a collaborative and horizontal approach, Nathalie Harb's projects emphasize themes of safe space and equity, with authorship shared between diverse collaborators, including musicians, acoustic consultants, permaculture experts, environmental consultants, researchers and architects.

Nathalie's installations explore the potential for intimacy and rest within the bustling urban landscape, introducing moments of stillness in an otherwise saturated environment.  Her projects aim to create spaces that foster connection and reflection, and to offer alternative visions of public space that prioritize inclusivity and a sense of belonging.

Nathalie's work has been shown internationally and supported by initiatives such as Unesco’s Week of Sound, the American University of Beirut’s Neighborhood Initiative, the London Design Biennale, the European Research Council, Dubai Design Week, Beirut Design Week, the London Festival of Architecture, Soncities and the Temporary Art Platform. She has also been the recipient of several residencies, including ZKU Berlin, Residencia São João in Bresil, and La Cité Internationale des Arts-Paris.
