Accessibility

Warning: This walking route may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.

Normandie Mémoires & Partages organises memory trails retracing the heritage born from the encounter between Europe, Africa and the Americas, in the emblematic cities of Rouen and Le Havre, marked by colonial and slavery history. The visits are structured in 6 stages: each stage represents a trace of the history of slavery in the city and a moment in the slavery experience (from capture to freedom). Material and intangible heritage are thus brought together through the triangular trade, slavery, resistance and abolition.
