Relax N-340. Antonio R. Montesinos
Antonio R. Montesinos has been working for years on a project that unfolds metaphorically like a journey. “Relax N-340” could be understood as the culminating journey in which he seeks to understand himself within the sphere of what is called the “relax style”, a set of imaginary constructions and creative productions (architecture, recreational spaces, graphic design and infrastructure) associated with leisure and tourism on the Costa del Sol since the mid-twentieth century.

Relax N-340. Antonio R. Montesinos

The artist seeks to identify with his role as a resident witnessing the profound transformations that tourism and its speculative extensions have brought to the landscape. He navigates an urban environment where demographic and housing dynamics are strained, sometimes even degraded.
Speakers: Antonio Montesinos and curators Rosa Lleó and Álex Martín Rod.
