Said El Haddaji: "No Time for Time"

Address

Port of Tangier - Opposite Bab El Marsa, Tangier, Morocco

The piece involves body language based on contextual reflections in Morocco, from the shared daily lives of women living in the mountains of Chtouka Ait-Baha. The focus is on the roles and commitments of these women representatives of rural areas, which announce themselves as truths both widespread and little-known.

Said El Haddaji

Moroccan artist Said El Haddaji explores the challenges facing Moroccan society through dance. Starting out in hip-hop in 2005, he then turned his attention to contemporary dance. In 2018, he founded Cie Hna-ya and created "Obscurité". His second piece, "Dans le vent", is a duet with Manon de Matauco. "Sorakhe", his quartet, is presented at the Biennale de la danse en Afrique in 2021. He also participates in various festivals and international residencies, developing projects for transmission and creation.
