Sursum Corda – Através de Tudo is a multidisciplinary performance created and performed by Portuguese artist Fernando Mota.
The work develops ongoing artistic research into the relationship between human beings and the natural world. Using sound, silence and unexpected sounds, the performance invites audiences to question the rhythms of everyday life and engage with a more intuitive and contemplative perception of existence.
Natural elements such as earth, wood, stone and water are used as instruments and performative matter, creating a dialogue between the physical and the immaterial, the human and the non-human. Through motion and touch sensors, the audience can also become part of the sound creation, expanding the participatory dimension of the experience.
