Mitja i Mitjoneta was created out of the need to rethink the logic, arguments, stereotypes, and moral lessons of traditional tales.

Their works are based on popular stories but give them a twist, infusing them with social critique, transformation, and awareness of the various themes addressed.

La Mitja and La Mitjoneta are the main characters who guide and appear in each production. They play complementary roles and transform into the specific characters of each story they perform.

The actresses of the company share a passion for theatre, for telling stories in a different way, and for using play as a tool to question, transform, and reflect. They enjoy twisting tales, exploring new paths, and bringing them everywhere, because they believe that art should be accessible and committed.

Their work is driven by creativity, tenderness, and critique. They work with simple materials but address complex themes, convinced that play can be an open door to reflection and sensitivity, especially from childhood.

They also like to say, without any shame, that they are true lovers of stockings and socks.
