In a DJ set shaped by fluidity, experience and a boundless musical curiosity, Tiago builds sonic journeys where different tempos, atmospheres and languages of dance music intersect organically. Between rhythmic pulse, psychedelic drift and moments of suspension, his sets reveal a deep relationship with the dancefloor, shaped by decades of listening, travelling and experimentation.
A resident at Lux Frágil since its opening, Tiago is one of the central figures of club culture in Portugal. His approach to DJing emerged from a close relationship with live music and still retains a deeply physical and intuitive dimension, built through the interplay of rhythm, duration and atmosphere. For over more than three decades of activity, he has regularly performed at international clubs and festivals, maintaining a strong connection to scenes in the United States and Japan, while developing a musical language that is simultaneously expansive, sophisticated and unpredictable.Alongside his work as a DJ, he has also developed a consistent practice as a producer and label curator, with releases on renowned labels such as DFA, Rong Music, Public Possession and Ene Records, as well as through his own projects, Ruby Red and Interzona 13.
The experience is expanded through the video projection of an original drawing by JAS, developed in direct dialogue with the music. Lines, rhythms and visual forms follow the transformations of sound, creating an expanded sensory environment where image and listening continuously reshape one another.
The DJ programme at the Art Explora Festival is curated by Filho Único.

Filho Único is a cultural association founded in Lisbon in 2007. It is an independent entity that does not receive annual funding or financial support from state mechanisms. It develops its active presence in Lisbon and on the international circuit through the aesthetic and critical approaches of its programming, co-productions, and the promotion of concerts, installations, and music events, as well as through the cooperative booking and representation of musicians.
Over the years, its role has been recognized in taking on an ever-unassured challenge: continuously reimagining the understanding of music—not limited by technique, data, or logic, but rather as expression and dynamic force, relational and liberating, present in lived experience, intergenerational knowledge, and enduring connections between body, land, and history.
