Truth # Tribe
Truth # Tribe is a Zagreb-based alternative jazz-rock fusion band comprised of renowned musicians: Nenad Kovačić (percussion), Nenad Sinkauz (electric guitar, electronics), Jurica Rukljić (electric tuba), and Mak Murtić (saxophone, flute, effects). Formed in 2019, the band has since released two albums: "Distances" (Hitchtone Records) and "Live at Vinyl Factory" (Rika Muzika).
The band is part of Zagreb’s growing alternative music scene and stands out as a club-oriented jazz, rock, and world music band that blends traditional rhythms, contemporary rock, and hard-to-define fusions centered around the electric tuba. Their sound has drawn comparisons to acts such as Sons of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming.
The band has completed two European tours and performed concerts in Slovenia and Austria with support from the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
Within the regional scene, they have appeared at numerous festivals (including AudioArt, Tramonto, Tam Tam, and others) as well as clubs. What truly sets this band apart is its rock energy and danceable character, with an intense live presence – it is a small-sized band, but it creates a massive sound.
