Poetry Jam - A living anthology of the sea. Violeta Niebla and Angelo Nestore.
A living anthology of the sea is a poetic performance created by Ángelo Néstore and Violeta Niebla, which proposes an intimate journey along the shores of the Mediterranean, using poetry as a vehicle to explore desire, sexual-bodily diversity and hybridization. This lively, constantly evolving anthology reveals the multiple layers of meaning interwoven in this geographical and symbolic space.
The show invites audiences to immerse themselves in an intimate and mysterious universe, where the Mediterranean is not just a landscape, but a protagonist reflecting the desires, fluid identities and diverse corporealities that inhabit it. Through poetry, Ángelo and Violeta explore how desire and the body interact with the maritime environment, creating a dialogue between the human and the non-human, the tangible and the liquid.
The water of the Mediterranean, charged with symbolism, acts as a space of transformation and resistance, where the boundaries between bodies and identities dissolve. The show brings together and celebrates sexual, gender and cultural diversity, allowing poetry and physicality to become tools for reimagining the links between people and their environment. In this way, A Living Anthology of the Sea is both a poetic journey and an act of hybridization and renewal, where the sea becomes an interlocutor that accompanies, transforms and gives voice to those who cross it.
