Guided tour of the exhibition Song of Water onboard the museum boat
A guided tour of the “Chant de l’eau” exhibition, suitable for all ages. An exploration of the mysteries of the marine world through a selection of contemporary artworks, historical artifacts, and archival documents. Specially adapted tours are also available for people with visual or hearing impairments.

Song of Water is an exhibition that pays tribute to the ocean, to the memory of the life it harbors, and to the diversity of the creatures that inhabit it. Song of Water draws inspiration from the evocative power of this vast soundscape, where every species, every current, and every breath come together to form a single song of life. Structured as a journey, the exhibition invites visitors not so much to contemplate the oceans as to listen to them, immersing them beneath the waves in a world where art and science converge.
Song of Water invites us to rediscover this memory by diving beneath the silent seas of Hiroshi Sugimoto, into a world teeming with mysterious creatures. From fossilised fish to reinterpretations by Pablo Picasso, Robert Longo, Katinka Bock, Harumi Klossowska de Rola, Joan Jonas and Michael Heizer, the fish travels through the ages as a witness to a continuous history of living beings. The shell, in the works of Charwei Tsai and Jean-Marie Appriou, evokes the origins of life, the slow sedimentations of time and the metamorphoses of matter.

Blanche de Lestrange is the Artistic Director of the Art Explora Foundation since 2020. She defines the artistic direction for various projects of the foundation and oversees the programming of the Art Explora Festival in the Mediterranean, artist residencies in France at the Cité internationale des arts, and their international development, as well as the inaugural exhibition at Hangar Y. Prior to this role, she was the Deputy Director of the FIAC, where she was responsible for the artistic programming for ten years. Blanche is also the co-founder of Thanks for Nothing, an organization that bridges the gap between the art world and the nonprofit sector
