After studying literature and journalism, Lucille began her career as a journalist for the France 2 correspondent's office in New Delhi, before working for two years in the diplomatic service in Brussels as assistant to the Chilean ambassador to the European Union. In 2020, she joined Médecins Sans Frontières as communications manager in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, then in Madagascar. For the past 2 years, she has been communications coordinator for SOS MEDITERRANEE on land and on board the Ocean Viking, its ambulance ship.

SOS MEDITERRANEE is a European sea rescue association founded in 2015 on the initiative of European citizens outraged by the repeated shipwrecks in the Mediterranean. The association pursues 3 missions: to save lives at sea in compliance with international maritime law, to protect survivors with care until they disembark in a safe port and to bear witness to the humanitarian emergency in the central Mediterranean.

Since 2016, SOS MEDITERRANEE has rescued over 40,000 people, including 15% women and 25% minors.
