"www (world war water)" is a durational performance and installation. It is a mise-en-situation of the worst of scenarios: with the last remaining cup, how is power negotiated, resources indulged and rationed, alliances formed and broken? Featuring Aïda Jamal and Imane Elkabli, with scenographic direction by Lori Kharpoutlian, this performance was initially conceived of and produced within the frame of the 2024 edition of the Youmein Festival under the theme of Steadfastness/Sumud with support from A.MAL Projects and the American Language Center - Tangier

The Youmein Festival brings artists together for two days to develop new creations around a common theme and encourages collaboration between artistic disciplines. Founded in 2015 by Zakaria Alilech, A. George Bajalia and Tom Casserly, this annual event offers a series of public lectures, workshops and exhibitions across Tangier. Offering an alternative to Tangier's public cultural scene, the festival/residency concludes with a presentation of new works created over the course of 48 hours.
Aïda Jamal
Aïda Jamal is a Moroccan contemporary dancer, clinical psychologist and philosophy mentor. She sees dance as an ongoing exploration of questions and the search for answers.
Imane Elkabli
Imane Elkabli is a Moroccan contemporary dancer and performer who has made the transition from studying philosophy to the world of dance. Her artistic practice explores emotions and self-discovery through body and movement, often integrating diverse materials to deepen her artistic vision.
Lori Kharpoutlian
Lori Kharpoutlian is a dancer and architect based in Beirut. With an evolving practice, she uses different methods of research and creation in the fields of performance, architecture and visual arts.
