Originally created at the Bourse de Commerce in Paris, Dancehall Weather brings together Argentine choreographer Cecilia Bengolea and her collaborators Craig Black Eagle (Jamaica) and Nika Mad Spirit (Ukraine) in a performance where dance and video archives intertwine. Drawing from Jamaican dancehall — which Cecilia Bengolea sees as a powerful medium for healing — the performance opens with an Early Settings session, a musical moment of reflection and collective energy, before giving way to a liberating shared dance.

This workshop proposes a listening and sound-exploration experience designed for families. Through a walk across different spaces near the sea, we will experiment with underwater microphones to discover new sounds: underwater soundscapes. In a playful and participatory way, we will learn how to record and listen while paying close attention to the environment and our relationship with it. No prior knowledge is required: the workshop is designed so that adults, girls, and boys can participate together, exploring sound as a tool for play, curiosity, and connection with the maritime landscape.

Walking through the port and its surroundings based on a reflection on the sea as a forgotten space and its limits. The breakwater at sea and on land. The itinerary will unfold in dialogue with the notions of the artist and photographer Alan Sekula, maritime ex-votos, and urban transformation.
