Led by anthropologist Géraldine Le Roux, this talk traces the metamorphosis of these "ghost nets": from lethal waste to memorial sculpture, woven with marine myths and the sacred bond that ties coastal peoples to the living world. Echoing the Muséum du Havre, home to Europe's first public collection of its kind, it reveals how contemporary Australian art transforms a global pollution into an ecological plea.

A nonprofit organization founded in 2021 dedicated to artistic upcycling and the promotion of the arts and crafts. Their first collection of art objects was unveiled in 2022 at the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris.  Following the success of the first collection, they want to develop a second collection centered on a cause close to their hearts: the preservation of ocean biodiversity.
