Their workshop, structured around different moments of introduction and musical practice, is dedicated to Guadeloupean dance through the Toumblack, one of the major rhythms of the Gwo-ka repertoire. Highly popular, the Toumblack is today one of the most widely practiced rhythms and one of the most immediately accessible to audiences. Marked by its energy and its unifying power, it naturally invites dancing and exchange between the drummers (tambouyé), singers, and dancers. Its vitality and festive spirit make it a true gateway to discovering the Gwo-ka.

Meanwhile, we'll try to build a raft and set it afloat with the help of master carpenter Alfonso Sánchez-Guitard from the Nereo shipyard. We'll see if it floats on Sunday November 10 at 10:30 am.
