In her lecture-performance ARCHAEOBOTANY & THE APOCALYPSE, via narrative and media content, Raơčić presents ongoing artistic research begun in 2023 for her new project and lifelong endeavor. With the aim of covering the entirety of her Sarajevo studio with paintings in the 'buon fresco' technique, the project was inspired by the artist's encounter with two historical figures. One is the Roman empress Sabina Poppaea and the other is Wilhemina Jashemski, an archaeobotanist who revolutionized this discipline in the 1970s with work on the excavation site of Sabina Poppaea’s villa in Oplontis near Pompeii.

Accessibility

Appropriate facilities have been set up on the Festival site for the reception and access of people with reduced mobility. Wheelchairs are allowed on board the boat. The boat is equipped with a 1m wide ramp, accessible to people with reduced mobility, but may require the accompaniment of a third party due to its gradient of over 6%. Please inform us in advance of any special accessibility requirements, so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
