Ferry Gold is a performance and music project rooted in memory, observation, and social commentary. Drawing on personal memories of summers spent in Tróia—a place once synonymous with freedom, collective experience, and childlike imagination—the work explores the transformation of public space, the violence of exclusion, and the growing distance between individuals and the landscapes they once inhabited freely.

Through speech, rhythm, painting, found texts, parliamentary speeches, press clippings, and everyday gestures, the project weaves together personal and political narratives. Ferry Gold oscillates between nostalgia and criticism, tenderness and irony, evoking both the innocence of shared memories and the realities of privatization, segregation, and social inequality.

Rather than offering an academic or linear narrative, the work unfolds as a series of free-flowing reflections and emotional landscapes. It permeates the fabric of everyday life: cluttered homes, grieving families, collective frustrations, battered bodies, raised fists, and shattered dreams. Nature does not appear as an escape, but as one of the few spaces capable of restoring balance and dignity amid social and political exhaustion.

Ferry Gold invites the audience into a world that is both poetic and poignant, where memory becomes a form of resistance, and where personal stories echo broader questions about belonging, access, and the right to inhabit shared spaces.
