Caravanserá is a participatory performance that blends dance, music, and visual elements, inspired by the work of Brazilian artist Maria José Ciríaco.

Drawing inspiration from the concept of “caravanserais”—historic places of rest and encounter—the project creates a temporary space for gathering, exchange, and celebration. The performance unfolds as a collective event without a defined stage or audience, where participants and performers share the same space.

The production brings together dancers, musicians, and a diverse, intergenerational group—including a community of older participants—thereby creating a dynamic and inclusive environment. Through movement, sound, and interactive objects, the audience is invited to actively engage, transforming the experience into a shared and evolving moment.

At the Art Explora festival, Caravanserá becomes a meeting place for the audience and performers, where participation, play, and collective expression are at the heart of the experience.
