Phivos Philitas, Façade, 2025
A non-narrative documentary, Façade captures the accelerating rhythms of Limassol’s urban development and gentrification, as time-lapses of construction and destruction are juxtaposed with vignettes that showcase the minute, mundane details that make a city.
Androula Kafa, Our Garden, 2025
Did you know that pigeons can love? Was there a river here? It would have been beautiful here.
Created in response to The Garden is Ours protests against the redevelopment of part of the Limassol Municipal Gardens by private investors in 2022–2023, Our Garden interweaves footage from the site with poetic meditations on its neglect and looming erasure. The work traces emotions of loss, suffocation, and ecological grief, rooted in the artist’s intimate experience of her hometown’s aggressive gentrification.
Adonis Archontides, Adonis and the House, After, 2025
Adonis and the House, After is a series of short vignettes, shot in the popular social simulation game The Sims 4. They are woven together to tell a non-linear story of an apartment in Limassol.
