In a DJ set that blends rhythmic intensity with sonic imagination, Nídia channels the vibrant energy of kuduro, contemporary electronic music, and diverse influences from around the world to create an immersive and transformative experience. Her approach, both physical and conceptual, intertwines sound, identity, and politics, shaping a space where the body and listening meet in a constant interplay of tension and release.
With its sharp rhythms, dense textures, and moments of suspense, his soundscape reveals a distinctive style, the result of a unique journey through the international electronic music scene. In this context, the DJ set emerges as a space for creation and reinvention, where each transition contributes to a captivating and dynamic narrative.

NÍDIA
Nídia is an internationally renowned Afro-Portuguese producer and DJ from Vale da Amoreira, on the south bank of Lisbon. As a member of the Príncipe label and artistic collective, she has played a pivotal role in introducing a progressive aesthetic and ethos to the contemporary alternative dance scene, particularly within kuduro culture. Her discography includes landmark albums such as *Nídia É Má*, *Nídia É Fudida* (2017)—named one of the year’s best electronic releases by *Rolling Stone*—and *95 MINDJERES* (2023), inspired by the crucial role of female fighters within the PAIGC in Guinea-Bissau’s struggle for independence from Portuguese colonial rule in the 1960s and 1970s.
Throughout her career, she has also produced remixes for artists such as Kelela, Yaeji, Elza Soares, Perfume Genius, and Sudan Archives, and co-produced tracks on the last two albums by alternative pop artist Fever Ray.
In 2024, she teamed up with avant-garde percussionist Valentina Magaletti to create the album *Estradas*, released on the Paris-based label Latency. The album was widely hailed as one of the best of the year by publications such as Resident Advisor, Pitchfork, and Artforum.

Filho Único is a cultural association founded in Lisbon in 2007. It is an independent organization that receives no annual funding or financial support from the government. It maintains an active presence in Lisbon and on the international scene through a program featuring aesthetic and critical approaches, its co-productions, and the promotion of concerts, installations, and musical events, as well as the cooperative booking and performance of musicians.
Over the years, its role has been recognized as rising to an ever-evolving challenge: constantly rethinking our understanding of music—not limited by technique, data, or logic, but rather as an expression and a dynamic, relational, and liberating force, present in lived experience, intergenerational knowledge, and the enduring connections between the body, the land, and history.
