Put on your helmet and set off for one of the planet’s last great wildernesses. *Noir de Carbone* takes you to the heart of the Greenland ice sheet, a fragile pillar of the global climate that pollution is gradually darkening, accelerating the melting of the ice and the rise in sea levels. As an adventurer yourself, you’ll follow the kite-ski expedition led by explorer Matthieu Tordeur and glaciologist Heïdi Sevestre: 1,500 kilometers traveled with the wind to collect snow and data, before the samples are analyzed in the lab by scientist Ulyana Horodyskyj Peña. Powered by virtual reality, this immersive experience brings you up close to a field of polar science that is reinventing itself—becoming more sustainable and carbon-neutral—and makes you a firsthand witness to the struggle to understand and preserve our planet.

"Climate change raises many questions and sparks differing viewpoints around the world. Through this project, I wanted to show what science actually reveals: what we observe in the field, how we study it, and what methods we use. By following Matthieu Tordeur and Heïdi Sevestre, I wanted to highlight a committed exploration, proving that it is possible to study the climate responsibly. From Greenland to the laboratory analyses conducted by Ulyana Horodyskyj Peña, this story showcases collective, international scientific work dedicated to understanding and preserving our planet."
