SURSUM CORDA – THROUGH IT ALL
A multidisciplinary performance that uses sound and natural materials. Through an immersive and poetic approach, the piece invites the audience to slow down and reconnect with a sensory perception of the world.
Sursum Corda – Através de Tudo is a multidisciplinary performance created and performed by Portuguese artist Fernando Mota.
This work is part of an ongoing artistic exploration of the relationship between human beings and the natural world. Using sound, silence, and unexpected sounds, the performance invites the audience to reflect on the rhythms of daily life and to engage in a more intuitive and contemplative perception of existence.
Natural elements such as earth, wood, stone, and water are used as instruments and performance materials, creating a dialogue between the physical and the immaterial, the human and the non-human. Through motion and touch sensors, the audience can also participate in the sound creation, thereby enriching the participatory aspect of the experience.
