In a DJ set characterized by fluidity, experience, and boundless musical curiosity, Tiago crafts sonic journeys where different tempos, atmospheres, and styles of dance music intertwine with organic fluidity. Between rhythmic beats, psychedelic flights of fancy, and moments of suspension, his sets reveal a deep connection with the dance floor, forged by decades of listening, traveling, and experimentation.
A resident at Lux Frágil since its opening, Tiago is a key figure on the Portuguese club scene. His approach to DJing, born of a close connection to live music, retains a deeply physical and intuitive quality, built on a subtle interplay of rhythm, duration, and atmosphere. For over thirty years, he has performed regularly at international clubs and festivals, while maintaining close ties with the American and Japanese scenes and developing a musical language that is at once vast, sophisticated, and unpredictable. Alongside his DJing, he has developed a regular practice in production and artistic direction, with releases on renowned labels such as DFA, Rong Music, Public Possession, and Ene Records, as well as through his own projects, Ruby Red and Interzona 13.
The experience is enhanced by a video projection of an original drawing by JAS, created in direct dialogue with the music. Lines, rhythms, and visual forms accompany the sonic transformations, creating an expanded sensory environment where image and sound redefine one another.
Filho Único is handling the DJ lineup for the Art Explora festival.

Filho Único is a cultural association founded in Lisbon in 2007. It is an independent organization that receives no annual funding or financial support from the government. It maintains an active presence in Lisbon and on the international scene through a program featuring aesthetic and critical approaches, its co-productions, and the promotion of concerts, installations, and musical events, as well as the cooperative booking and performance of musicians.
Over the years, its role has been recognized as rising to an ever-evolving challenge: constantly rethinking our understanding of music—not limited by technique, data, or logic, but rather as an expression and a dynamic, relational, and liberating force, present in lived experience, intergenerational knowledge, and the enduring connections between the body, the land, and history.
