Art Explora Festival rules and regulations

To ensure the success of the Festival, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination, including racism, sexism, queerphobia or any other prejudicial behavior. Our aim is to create an inclusive environment where everyone, whatever their appearance, sexual orientation or origin, feels comfortable and safe. Enjoy the Festival!

Scope of application

The purpose of these rules is to inform visitors of the conditions under which they can visit the Festival. They are intended to ensure the safety of visitors and the boating experience, and to enable a quality visit to the different areas (Festival programme and catamaran area) within the boundaries of the Art Explora Festival site. These rules apply to all visitors to the site. The Festival organization team reserves the right to adapt or modify these rules at any time. Visitors are also subject, where applicable, to any regulations introduced by the port authority or any other competent public or administrative authority, and applicable to the site. Access to the Festival

Authorized public

This event is open to :

  • adults ;
  • minors under 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Any person supervising a minor is responsible for ensuring that the minor complies with these rules. The minimum age for visiting the boat is 6 years.

Festival entrance and exit

Festival events are free but subject to reservation on the Festival website. All visitors must be in possession of a valid ticket to enter the Festival site. All visitors must arrive at the entrance to the area concerned within the reservation time indicated on the ticket (at least 15 minutes before the performance start time). Entrance to the Festival site is subject to security checks. Festival organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to the venue or to ask any ticket holder to leave the premises, while taking all appropriate measures to enforce this right.

Circulation within the Festival grounds

Visitors are not permitted to use any means of transportation within the Festival area (including, but not limited to, bicycles, scooters, e-scooters, skateboards, roller skates, etc.). Strollers are permitted, provided they do not pose a danger to other visitors or the installations. However, the Art Explora Festival reserves the right to refuse access to strollers and baby carriers in certain areas. In such cases, the prohibition will be indicated or mentioned by public assistance or security personnel in these areas.

Accessibility and special needs

Appropriate facilities have been set up on the Festival site to allow access for people with reduced mobility.The following are permitted:

  • Guide dogs for the visually impaired ;
  • Assistance dogs for visitors ;
  • Rods with tips ;
  • Optical aids (including magnifiers). The Festival area is accessible to wheelchair users. However, due to special structural components, the catamaran is not accessible to wheelchair users. Parking on the Festival site can be made available to visitors with special needs. Visitors are required to reserve their parking space in advance by sending an e-mail indicating an e-mail subject "PARKING - ART EXPLORA" to spazju@kreattivita.org and security@vallettacruiseport.com with the following details no later than Wednesday, March 20, 2024:
  • Full name ;
  • Vehicle license plates ;
  • A copy of the blue badge ;
  • Name and date of the performance for which the parking space is required. Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prohibited objects and animals

Access to the Festival is forbidden to visitors carrying any object that could present a danger or inconvenience to other visitors or the facilities. In particular, it is forbidden to bring onto the Festival site :

  • Illegal substances ;
  • Sharp, blunt or dangerous objects ;
  • Firearms, fireworks, all gas installations;
  • Cans, bottles and glassware ;
  • Chairs and/or all types of furniture ;
  • Bulky bags (larger than 40x40x20) ;
  • Laser pointers ;
  • Megaphones, audio broadcasting equipment ;
  • Pets (except guide and assistance dogs) ;
  • Food and/or beverages (except water) It is forbidden to board the museum boat in stiletto heels.This list is not exhaustive, and it is the responsibility of the organization's staff and security to judge the dangerousness of items carried. Visitors are asked to follow the instructions of Festival staff at all times.

Available services

For the comfort of our visitors, certain services are available:

  • Free access to sanitary facilities;
  • A refreshment bar (for sale), open to the general public, is available during the evening programme ;Service providers are responsible for the services they offer visitors and their implications.

Group access

Groups of more than 10 visitors are invited to book their visit by sending an e-mail to boxoffice@kreattivita.org or by calling (+356) 2122 3200.

Education and school groups

School groups must be accompanied as follows:

  • Group visits are conducted under the supervision of a group leader, who is responsible for ensuring that all group members comply with these rules and regulations. All group members must remain in close proximity to the group leader or supervisor.

Visitor behavior during the visit

General behavior

All visitors are required to comply with safety instructions and to avoid causing, by their attitude, words or dress, any disturbance to the smooth running of Festival tours and events. Visitors are required to follow the specific instructions for visiting the Festival as indicated by the Festival organizers.

Prohibited behavior

It is strictly forbidden to take any action likely to compromise the proper conditions for visiting and safety. In particular, it is forbidden to:

  • Visiting the Festival site while intoxicated;
  • Use illegal substances on the Festival site;
  • Smoking or vaping on the Festival site (in application of Maltese law: L.N. 414 of 2004 TOBACCO (CONTROL OF TOBACCO) ACT (CAP. 315) Regulations on smoking in premises open to the public, 2004) ;
  • To pass through the devices intended to supervise the visit and, except in the event of a disaster or emergency, to use the emergency exits and staircases;
  • Hindering public traffic and obstructing passageways and exits, especially emergency exits;
  • Putting up graffiti, stickers, posters, marks or dirt; Bins are available for the public to dispose of paper, garbage, chewing gum, etc. ;
  • Damage in any way the documents and materials made available to the public;
  • To distribute any form of advertising;
  • Insulting, noisy, violent, aggressive or indecent behavior towards other visitors and staff (words, behavior, gestures, attitude, etc.);
  • Disturbing other visitors by any noisy demonstration, in particular by listening to noisy equipment (radios, loudspeakers, musical instruments, etc.) or answering the telephone. Visitors are therefore kindly requested to put their cell phones on silent mode during performances and tours of the catamaran;
  • Use spaces and facilities in a way that does not correspond to their purpose;
  • To go barefoot or shirtless on the site;
  • Touching LED screens, decorations and interior fittings. Crossing protective distances and barriers;
  • Acting in such a way as to present a risk of danger to visitors. In particular, it is forbidden to run, push or carry children on shoulders on the boat;
  • Any visitor who witnesses the removal or damage of an item is asked to report it immediately to the Festival security staff.

Compliance with instructions issued by Festival staff

Visitors are required to comply with all service orders and instructions issued by Festival staff. Any violation of these visiting rules, or any reminder to comply with them by a Festival staff member, will result in the visitor's temporary or permanent exclusion from the Festival site and, where applicable, legal proceedings.

Shooting, recording, copying

Taking photographs

Unless specifically stated otherwise, it is permitted to take photographs for the private use of visitors while walking around the Festival site, provided that no professional equipment is used, in which case you will need to request accreditation from the Art Explora Foundation communications team. Artists deserve respect, and all ticket holders deserve the best possible experience. You will be kindly requested to ensure that all technological devices are switched off and that no photographs and/or video recordings are taken during performances and invitational events.Visitors are reminded that any use other than strictly private of photographs and video recordings of works and performances is prohibited without the consent of the author or their assigns. In this respect, it is the visitor's responsibility to respect the copyright legislation in force with regard to the works and performances exhibited and presented. The organization declines all responsibility in this respect.

Image rights

On entering the Festival grounds, visitors are informed that photos and/or videos taken by accredited photographers and/or the media may be used for promotional and documentation purposes. Visitors are informed that their image may be captured and subsequently published by any means for the purpose of presenting the Festival's activities. Anyone objecting to their image being captured and published is therefore asked to move out of view of the cameras and to indicate their objection to the use of their image to a member of staff, who will record their request in writing.In addition to authorization from the Festival organization, any recording or filming by a visitor of staff or members of the public requires the consent of the persons concerned. The organization declines all responsibility towards visitors filmed or photographed in the event of non-compliance with these provisions.

Safety of people, works and premises

Prevention

A first-aider is available on the Festival site.

Damage

Entry to the Festival site is at the visitor's own risk. The Festival organizers decline all responsibility for any damage caused directly or indirectly by any act or omission of the Festival organization, organizing staff or any person hired for the Festival, or of a third party, during the time spent inside the Festival, unless such damage is directly caused by intent or gross negligence.

Good neighborliness

When entering or leaving the Festival site, visitors must take care not to disturb the neighbourhood by indecent or disruptive behaviour (urinating on the public highway, making noise, causing damage, etc.).

Respect for the environment

In the interests of environmental protection, it is not permitted to distribute promotional leaflets and/or flyers.We ask you not to litter, including cigarette butts and other litter.We ask you to respect the waste management system and ecological responsibility set up by the Festival and indicated on site.

Lost and found

Visitors are asked to report any lost items to a member of staff at the Festival information desk, and lost items will be held at the security headquarters until the end of the Festival. You can contact the reception desk, who will direct you to the appropriate person to retrieve your item upon presentation of your ID. After the end of the Festival (March 31, 2024), items will be returned to the Valletta Police Station, Rue de l'Archevêque Valletta, VLT 1444. Abandoned objects that appear to present a danger to the security of the premises may be destroyed without delay or notice by the services concerned. In such cases, the person having abandoned such an object will be held responsible, in particular for the costs incurred by the police, as well as for the consequences of the temporary closure of access to the Festival.

Modification - Cancellation

Programming changes

Festival organizers reserve the right to make any changes necessitated by unavoidable causes.

Cancellation

The organizers reserve the right to cancel, interrupt or shorten the Festival in the event of a major problem beyond their control.

Rules for the "Livre d'Or Numérique" competition at the Art Explora Festival in Marseille

Article 1: Game organization

The company Art Explora, hereinafter referred to as "the Organizer", whose registered office is located at 9 place de la Madeleine, 75008 Paris, is organizing a competition entitled "Livre d'Or Numérique" (Digital Golden Book) from June 6 to 18, 2024, in Marseille, France, as part of the Art Explora Festival.

Article 2: Conditions of participation

The game is open to all natural persons of legal age residing in metropolitan France, with the exception of members of the Organizer's staff and their families, as well as any person having participated in the elaboration of the game.

Article 3: Terms of participation

To take part in the game, Festival visitors must fill in the "Digital Guestbook" satisfaction form on the digital terminals or Guestview flying tablets installed in the Festival areas, and provide their first name, surname and e-mail address. Participation is free and no purchase is necessary.

Article 4: Designation of winners

An electronic draw will be made each day among the participants of the day. One winner will be chosen each day.

Article 5: Prizes

Each winner will receive a special edition of Beaux-Arts Magazine dedicated to the Art Explora Festival. The prize will be sent to the postal address provided by the winner following receipt of the prize notification email.

Article 6: Informing the winners

Winners will be notified by email within 5 working days of the close of the Art Explora Festival, i.e. before June 26. They will be asked to provide their postal address within 30 days. If no reply is received from the winner within this period, the prize will be forfeited.

Article 7: Delivery of prizes

The prize will be sent by post to the address provided by the winner. Shipping costs will be borne by the Organizer. The Organizer cannot be held responsible in the event of loss, theft or damage to the prize during shipment.

Article 8: Personal data

The personal data collected (surname, first name, e-mail address and postal address) are necessary for the management of the competition and the dispatch of prizes. It will be processed in accordance with the Organizer's commitments in terms of personal data protection, which can be consulted on the Art Explora website. In accordance with the RGPD, participants have the right to access, rectify and delete data concerning them. These rights may be exercised by writing to festival@artexplora.org.

Article 9: Liability

The Organizer cannot be held responsible if, in the event of force majeure or events beyond its control, it has to cancel the game, shorten it, extend it or modify its conditions. The Organizer may not be held liable for events for which it is not responsible.

Article 10: Acceptance of the rules

Participation in the game implies full acceptance of these rules. Any fraud or attempted fraud will result in immediate disqualification.

Article 11: Disputes

These rules are governed by French law. In the event of any dispute relating to the application or interpretation of these rules, and in the absence of amicable agreement, the competent courts will be those of the City of Paris.
