"Empreinte Musicale", when Opera and Prison Inmates meet

Sharing art and music with the inmates of correctional facilities is the goal of  “Empreinte musicale” project initiated by Johanne Cassar and the Compagnie Coloratura, supported by Art Explora.

During several months, Joan Cassar and musicians of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France ran singing workshops with inmates that culminated with a concert at the Fresnes prison.

Workshop participants also worked on the interpretation of a piece created by Italian composer Francesco Filidei specifically for this occasion that put them at the heart of the contemporary classical music.

We were delighted to support this project together with Radio France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the prison administration and the Compagnie Coloratura.
