Art Explora will inaugurate in 2024 a museum ship that will sail the seas of the world to offer visitors from all over the world innovative artistic and cultural experiences.  

Convinced of the need to reach out to the public, the Art Explora Foundation places mobility at the heart of its programs, and has chosen ports - places of exchange and dialogue par excellence - as destinations for its museum ship, thus creating a link between the various participants in this great cultural maritime adventure. 

For its maiden voyage in 2024, the museum ship will set sail from Marseille's Vieux Port on its first journey through the Mediterranean, a place of encounters and exchanges dating back thousands of years. It will visit 15 countries, offering a unique artistic experience in each city visited, in collaboration with local institutions, curators and players. Through the proposed experience, the artists, in dialogue with audiences from all horizons, will question the major contemporary issues in the Mediterranean.

From May 19 to 29, 2022, Art Explora will be previewing for Marseilles residents the model of the museum ship, previously exhibited at the World Expo in Dubai, to introduce the Art Epxlora Festival project and announce all the stages of its maiden voyage.
