We interviewed Isabelle, a coach and "formacilitatrice" based in Toulouse. She works with a wide range of people (high school students, university students and managers) to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.

Isabelle is a volunteer for Art Explora Foundation and has on several occasions carried out the Allô Miró mission in EHPAD (old people's homes) to share art and culture with those who are furthest from it. She spoke to us about her commitment:

How did you discover Art Explora ?

Through the Je veux aider platform. After 13 years as an expatriate in South America, during which I was involved in various associations, I wanted to continue my involvement when I returned to France. I started with French lessons, then when I read about the Allo Miro program, I thought: bingo, that's great!

Why you-to the missions?

Because I love art (without being an artist or having studied it)! I also love relationships and sharing. Older people touch me with their experiences, the way they talk (sometimes unfiltered), and the childlike or mischievous side that comes out!

A particularly vivid memory?

I haven't been involved very often yet, but every meeting is different, depending on whether I'm there face-to-face or by videoconference, on the establishment, on the residents present, on the reception and entertainment staff and, of course, on the artist chosen. The residents' vote for their favorite work at the end of the session is a bit like the "highlight" of our time together!
