The Art Explora festival opens in Le Havre on Thursday, October 1, 2026, starting at 1:00 p.m.; admission is free. The opening night begins at 6:00 p.m.—priority will be given to those who have reserved their tickets in advance online.

On board the museum ship, discover “Song of Water,” an exhibition that pays tribute to the ocean, to the memory of the life it shelters, and to the diversity of the creatures that inhabit it. The exhibition draws inspiration from the evocative power of this vast soundscape, where every species, every current, and every breath come together to form a single song of life. Structured as a journey, it invites visitors not so much to contemplate the oceans as to listen to them, immersing them beneath the waves in a world where art and science converge.​

Trace the history of art with *The Art of the Ocean*, from the earliest explorers to modern times, directed by Amaury Chardeau and produced by Upian. From accounts told by early navigators to images captured today by deep-sea robots, the film explores how the ocean has become, in turn, a realm of fantasy, a subject of scientific inquiry, and the inspiration for works of art.​

Spend twelve minutes immersed in an immersive soundscape, lying on a deck chair set up right by the sea. At first, you hear the ocean coast—waves, wind, and the cries of seagulls—then, without a break, the transition underwater: once in this new world, the sounds of nature blend with those of human activity, illustrating humanity’s encroaching presence on marine ecosystems. This creation by the Oreille Indiscrète collective, in binaural ambisonic sound, consists primarily of sounds recorded by hand from all corners of the world.​

With the exceptional collaboration of the Louvre Museum, Art Explora showcases "Present", an immersive exhibition highlighting female figures in Mediterranean civilizations, through the Louvre's collections. This digital experience combines education, art discovery, and contemporary audiovisual technologies to offer a journey through millennia of history.

"Psychosphere," an immersive underwater world that invites the public to discover the origins of life in the deep sea. This work by Danish artist Jakob Kudsk Steensen offers an immersive journey into the depths of the ocean, blending original sound recordings with digitized images of volcanic vents, fossils, and fish species. The result of five years of research conducted alongside scientists and expedition vessels, Psychosphere offers new perspectives on our relationship with ecological systems.

Eart_ض is a collaborative research project developed by Zaira Oram collective (CH) & QANAT collective (MA), and taking place between Switzerland and Morocco in exchange with Palestine. The research project arose from a necessary reflection on the present time. Today, an increasing number of people have a residual relationship with the earth, because of the hectic times we live in and because of still expanding centralized urban spaces that often do not welcome nature. Our society is increasingly losing its roots, the practice of listening between human beings and between humankind and the earth is lacking. The increasing loss of the memory of rurality distances us from an ancient wisdom, which still remains the heritage of a few.

As part of the Art Explora festival and in partnership with the Shems'y National Circus School in Salé, artists Klara Fontibus, Nassim Azarzar, and Aliocha Tazi invite students to participate in the creation process of Act.1_Brise. Students from all disciplines will be able to explore the various elements used to compose flying (or fixed) structures in order to develop a choreographic and narrative performance. The research conducted during this workshop will culminate in two public outdoor performances.
