Their workshop, structured around different moments of introduction and musical practice, is dedicated to Guadeloupean dance through the Toumblack, one of the major rhythms of the Gwo-ka repertoire. Highly popular, the Toumblack is today one of the most widely practiced rhythms and one of the most immediately accessible to audiences. Marked by its energy and its unifying power, it naturally invites dancing and exchange between the drummers (tambouyé), singers, and dancers. Its vitality and festive spirit make it a true gateway to discovering the Gwo-ka.

Montesinos has been working for years on a project that unfolds metaphorically like a journey. “Relax N-340” could be understood as the culminating journey in which he seeks to understand himself within the sphere of what is called the “relax style”, a set of imaginary constructions and creative productions (architecture, recreational spaces, graphic design and infrastructure) associated with leisure and tourism on the Costa del Sol since the mid-twentieth century.
